Pink All Around

Tada! My roly poly outfit version two!

In my last post, I talked about wanting to try a roly poly look as inspired by T-ara's video. Well, my fellow fashion blogger and friend Pam and I had a shoot the other day so here are the pictures.

I went with a pink apron like mini dress, white semi long sleeves, gray long socks and my trusty brown brogues.
Oh and of course I had a huge pink ribbon on my head.
Teehee, what do you guys think?
See the pink ribbon? I'm not really a fan of print on print to I tried to keep my roly poly look on the minimalistic side.

Is that Hyomin on the far right? Hmm. Anyway, I would love to try that kind of outfit.

Prepare for more pictures!

The socks are my roommate's.

I think this shade of pink is perfect for the roly poly look.

Of course I can't be without the bow. :))

This shot was so hard to do. I was lying down on the floor of 3rd floor AS. Hahaha. Well, I love the picture though.

Random shot.

So what do you guys think? Any outfits inspired by videos you think I should try? Maybe the outfits from the Japanese version of Genie or What a Girl Wants by 4Minute. I haven't been updating myself with new videos so if you know some new ones don't hesitate to tell me. :))

Roly Poly

I have two more blogs aside from this one. One is a fashion blog, Explora Laura. Recently, I watched a fairly new KPop video, Roly Poly, by T-ara. I think Asian fashion, particularly Japanese and Korean is very cute and apparently, my fashion aesthetic somewhat resembles their style, Japanese more so. A bit of a tropical Japanese mori girl since I can’t really wear a lot of layers like real mori girls do because of the weather in the Philippines.

Forgive the vanity. :))

So, what is this blog entry about really?
Well, it’s about the fashion style featured in the Roly Poly video. I think it’s set around the 70s or 80s. The look of the video does seem to be set around that time, but the outfits are a bit more modern. Like pairing heels with brightly colored socks which I wasn’t aware existed during that time, but I am very sure that it’s a trend today, since the fashion blogs I follow have been using that trend lately.

I think the outfits from Roly Poly are extremely cute and would still fit in with my fashion style right now. A bit more colourful than what I’m used to but it’s fine. Floral prints are already in my wardrobe. And I do love ribbons and headbands like those in the video but I haven’t worn some lately. The bell bottom pants though is something I don’t think I’ll be adapting if ever I would push through with the Roly Poly look.
Here are some outfit pictures from the video and their album John Travolta Wannabe! Let’s spazz over the clothes and of course the very pretty T-ara girls. J)

PS. Jiyeon and Eunjung are my biases. J)
